Colorado Safety Policy Information

This page provides essential information about Soltera’s safety policies and reporting procedures, in accordance with Colorado law. For additional guidance on maintaining a safe and respectful experience, please also refer to our Terms of Service and privacy policy.

Notice regarding Soltera’s policy on sexual violence and other conduct that threatens public or personal safety

At Soltera, we are committed to fostering a safe and respectful environment for all users. We do not tolerate any form of harassment, sexual violence, stalking, or any conduct that endangers personal or public safety, whether online or offline.

Engaging in sexual conduct without consent is not only prohibited by Soltera’s rules but is also illegal. Such behavior can result in serious consequences, including criminal or civil liability. If a criminal investigation is initiated, we will cooperate fully with law enforcement authorities and provide support in persecuting any individual found to have conducted any illegal activity.

Please review our Terms of Service for more details on Soltera’s policies.

Does Soltera verify users’ identities or conduct criminal background checks?

Soltera does not perform criminal background or identity checks. Soltera also does not guarantee the identity or intention of any profile in the application.

To increase safety and the authenticity of our user base, users in Soltera maybe submit a selfie photo that is used by the membership team to manually review and verify the profile. This selfie verification is optional and does not guarantee a user’s identity and only serves as a measure to increase safety.

It is important to note that no online verification or background screening process is entirely foolproof. We strongly advise users to remain cautious when interacting with any individual both online and in person.

How can I report conduct or content that I believe violates Soltera’s guidelines?

You may report inappropriate conduct or content quickly and easily through the in-app reporting tool (displayed at the bottom of every profile) or by emailing us directly.

You can block and report members who exhibit suspicious, offensive, or harassing behavior, and so on.

What actions are taken when a user is reported for violating the rules?

We take all reports of misconduct seriously and promptly investigate all claims. If we determine that a user has violated our Terms of Use, appropriate actions will be taken. Depending on the severity of the violation, consequences may range from a warning to a complete ban. Violations related to violence, threats of violence, sexual misconduct, or any other harmful behavior will result in an immediate ban from Soltera.

We respect the privacy of all parties involved and limit the sharing of information regarding reports to protect safety and confidentiality.

Users have the right to appeal actions taken against their accounts. Users may email customer support to appeal a ban.

When a report about a user’s misconduct is received, do you notify their matches?

In compliance with Colorado law, Soltera will send email notifications to Colorado users who have exchanged messages with a user that has been banned due to known or suspected fraudulent behavior. “Fraudulent behavior” refers to actions that suggest a significant risk of attempting to obtain money or valuables through deceit, using a false identity, or engaging in other forms of fraud.

As outlined in our Privacy Policy, we can only disclose user information in limited circumstances, such as when required by law (e.g., in response to a subpoena or warrant).
